As we close out 2025 and step into 2026, I’ve been sitting with a very specific kind of gratitude—the kind that sneaks up on you mid–coffee sip, mid–gondola ride, mid–“how did we get so lucky to live (or escape) here?” moment.
If you’re like me, you have a lot to be thankful for. And when I stop and actually think about it… it’s a bit overwhelming. In a good way. In a “my heart is full and I might cry in my car” way.
Here’s the truth: I get to do what I love because of you—my clients, my community, and the relationships that have become the heart of my business. And because of that, I get to do one of my favorite things every year: give back to the community we all love.
At Mountain Rose Realty, giving back isn’t a “nice idea.” It’s built into the business.
Every year, I donate 1% of Mountain Rose’s net income to charities and organizations that strengthen this community—Telluride, the San Juans, and the places that make mountain life feel like home. It’s a simple promise, but it carries real weight. It’s also the part of the year that makes me feel the most proud—because success is sweeter when it circles back to the people and places that helped create it.
Whether you’ve worked with me once, referred a friend, sent a kind note, or simply cheered from the sidelines—thank you. You are a big part of the reason this tradition is possible.
If you’d like to help “greaten” the impact, I would love for you to join me. Every donation—big or small—adds up to what could be a mountain.
Below is the list of organizations I’m supporting this year, with direct links so it’s easy to learn more (and give, if you feel called).
These organizations do the quiet, consistent, often-unseen work that makes our community stronger, kinder, and more resilient:
Protect Our Winters — https://protectourwinters.org/
Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club — https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Tellurideskisnowboardclub
Telluride Adaptive Sports — https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/TellurideAdaptiveSportsProgram
One to One Mentoring — https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Onetoonementoringprogram
Colorado Public Radio — https://www.cpr.org/
Angel Baskets — https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/AngelBaskets
Telluride Rotary International Club — https://portal.clubrunner.ca/3291
Telluride Humane Society — https://telluridehumanesociety.com/
Telluride Mountain Club — https://www.telluridemountainclub.org/
Ridgway Area Trails (RAT Trails) — https://ridgwaycolorado.com/trails/rat-mountain-biking-trails
In places like Telluride, it’s easy to focus on the highlight reel—the snow, the sunsets, the lifestyle. But what truly makes this place special is the fabric underneath it: the mentors, the trail builders, the animal rescuers, the adaptive programs, the organizations that show up when people need help.
And as someone who lives and works in Telluride Real Estate, I see it firsthand: communities like ours thrive when we invest in them—not just with money, but with commitment.
That’s what this tradition represents for me. A way to say: We’re not just passing through. We’re part of this.
