PEAKSHEET: Your Life@Telluride from 24 March to 2 April
“A pair of skis are the ultimate transformation to freedom.” -Warren Miller
There are ski seasons, and then there are epic ski seasons like the one we are currently experiencing. We've been getting non-stop snow this week, which has been setting us up for some great spring skiing before we head into the last week of the season.
In true Telluride fashion, the ski season will be going out with a bang. Closing weekend kicks off with the KOTO Spring Street Dance and the $1 Community Night Featuring Joint Point on Friday, March 31, followed by the Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt and Hannorama Jama Rail Jam on Saturday, April 1. The party comes to a close on Sunday, April 2 at the annual pond skim and closing day party at Gorrono.
Before the season ends, there is still plenty to do! Thom Chacon will be playing at the Telluride Arts HQ Gallery tonight, there will be après ski tunes at Altezza the next two weekends, DJ Wombat will be performing at Fresh Horses on Saturday, and GRAMMY-nominated violinist Tessa Lark will be bringing down the house at the Michael D. Palm Theatre on Sunday.
Other entertainment includes Burlesque: I Want My BTV (sold out) on Friday and Saturday, three performances of Mind Blown, the Cardboard Sled Derby on Saturday, and Drag Brunch at the Mountain Lodge on Sunday.
If you're sticking around for off-season, don't worry - we have you covered with grub! Check out the dining options available this off-season in Telluride and Mountain Village.
This will be the last Peak Sheet of the season (on hiatus until May 25). We hope you have a happy, safe, relaxing off-season! We'll see you around town.
