Telluride’s calendar is full of great events, but Noche de Luz — Comunidad en Flor is one with a little more heart behind it.
On Friday, August 21, the Telluride Science & Innovation Center hosts an evening celebrating the diversity, culture and connections that make up our regional community — with food, art, cocktails, live music and a silent auction, all benefiting an important local cause.
And there’s another milestone to celebrate this year: Tri-County Health Network is becoming Thrive Community Health Network.
🌺 A “Community in Bloom”
Presented by Community Banks of Colorado, Noche de Luz benefits Thrive Community Health Network’s Multicultural Advocacy Programs, in partnership with Raíces sin Fronteras.
The evening brings together local residents, business leaders and supporters for a celebration built around the theme “Community in Bloom.”
Your $100 ticket includes:
Tapas, dessert and small plates from locally owned restaurants and catering businesses with global roots
A signature cocktail or mocktail, beer or wine
Artist demonstrations and traditional artisan displays
Music from local DJ Beats by LART
A live performance by Denver-based Chicano funk band Los Mocochetes
Silent auction
Plenty more throughout the evening
And yes, themed attire inspired by “Night of Light” or “Community in Bloom” is encouraged — creativity welcome.

🎶 Meet Los Mocochetes
The evening closes with Los Mocochetes, a Denver-based five-piece band known for its Chicano funk sound.
Paired with local DJ music, food, drinks and art, this is less traditional fundraiser dinner and more genuine community celebration — which feels exactly right for Telluride.
