LODGING UPDATE

Total destination occupancy (paid & owner) from now through Closing Day is 34% ahead of last year at 37%, with a 9% increase in average daily rate (ADR) at $482. The significant bump is due to the Easter holiday and extra week in April. Visitation peaks on March 29 with total occupancy currently at 62%. 
 
The destination is pacing to finish out the winter season 4% behind last year for total occupancy, and paid occupancy is 6% lower YOY. Destination ADR is flat, contributing to a 6% decrease in Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR). Mountain Village total and paid occupancy are both flat YOY, and ADR and RevPAR are down by 3%. Town of Telluride total occupancy is down 11% YOY, paid occupancy has decreased by 16% and ADR is up 4%, contributing to a 13% decrease in RevPAR.  
 
Looking ahead to summer, destination total occupancy is pacing 3% ahead of 2023, paid occupancy is 6% lower, and ADR is 2% behind. May, July and August and October are tracking ahead YOY, and June and September are slightly behind. 

AIR UPDATE

While March overall is pacing down a few points for destination guests, Easter is providing a strong finish with the coming weeks up solidly over last year and past years.

For the shoulder season, flights include United and Southwest daily to DEN, American daily to DFW, Denver Air daily TEX-DEN, and 2x weekly TEX-PHX. Capacity for the April-May shoulder period is up 25%+. The Denver Air shoulder sale is on now, with fares from $129 to DEN and PHX in April and May.
