This January 16, 2025 archive preserves the Telluride Tourism Board outlook for the rest of January, the first quarter and winter air travel. Reporting windows and units matter: occupancy levels, percentage changes and passenger counts are different measures.
The source reported total destination occupancy, including paid and owner stays, at 48% for the remainder of January, pacing 1% behind the comparable 2024 period. Paid occupancy was down 3%; ADR was up 14% and revenue per available room was reported up 11%. The original text incorrectly put “ADR” in parentheses after revenue per available room; that measure is RevPAR, not ADR.
The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday comparison was reported at 50% total occupancy versus 57%, or 12% behind. It had improved from the previous week's 21% shortfall. The preserved weekend chart includes Thursday through Sunday; the original narrative does not specify precisely which days were averaged for its weekend summary.
Q 1 total occupancy was pacing 4% below the prior year, with a slower January, February 1% behind and March flat. Bookings over the preceding week added a reported 2 occupancy points to Q 1. Presidents' Day week was forecast at 71%, pacing 5% ahead. These are snapshots, not subsequently verified final results.

The monthly chart covers whole-month periods, which differ from the remainder-of-January narrative. It shows rounded winter 2024–25/2023–24 occupancy of 34%/36% in December, 48%/53% in January, 59%/60% in February, 48%/48% in March and 18%/24% for April 1–6. The original suggestion that lodgers consider specials was planning advice at publication, not a current offer.
Overall winter air numbers were described as even to slightly ahead. The holiday passenger period, from the Thursday before Christmas through the Monday after New Year's, finished 3% ahead; December also finished 3% ahead. January and February remained a few percentage points behind after narrowing their gaps, while March bookings were 8% ahead. The report described traffic through Presidents' Day as relatively even from week to week.

The air graphics distinguish weekly booking trends, an all-winter passenger projection labeled “SW Estimated Forward,” and MTJ/TEX daily inbound and outbound passengers. They are not three interchangeable measures of completed travel, and precise totals are not reconstructed from unlabeled curves.
For a trip today, consult the Telluride Tourism Board Peak Sheet and the relevant carrier. Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) and Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) are separate airports. Denver Air Connection provides its current booking information. The schedules, sale fares and forecasts in this archive are historical.
A higher destination ADR does not establish a particular home's rental rate, profit or resale value. Use the property's own statements, available rental nights, owner stays, expenses and restrictions. Anne-Britt Ostlund at Mountain Rose Realty can help organize that property discussion.
