February 5, 2026 archive. This post preserves a Tourism Board update from that reporting period. Figures, schedules and outlook language below are historical reporting, not current operating, booking, or real-estate guidance. For current travel information, use Telluride Tourism Board.
Published February 5, the report looked ahead toward mid-February. It stated that 87% of the mountain was open at publication and directed skiers to the resort app for live terrain and lift status. It described lodging bookings as 10% behind year over year, a separate measure from its occupancy forecast. It reported next-two-week occupancy of 56% versus 67% in the comparison period, reported as a 17% gap. The displayed rounded rates differ by 11 percentage points. The original said the largest gap fell on the upcoming weekend, with the rest of the two-week window more closely aligned. Presidents’ Week was reported at 61% versus 71%, with a 67% projected first-weekend peak.
It also reported January closing 15% behind 2025 after a 22% deficit two weeks earlier, February gaining eight points, and March gaining six points. The eight- and six-point statements are changes in the report’s pacing, not year-over-year percentages. Those are period-specific pacing figures, not a forecast of later bookings or destination performance.
The bulletin described four recent weeks as nearly even year over year, February as flat, and March as down roughly 3–5%, attributing part of the difference to holiday timing. It described an extended demand window and destination marketing, but those statements are preserved as the report’s context rather than proof of future demand.
