Published July 26, 2026, this archive preserves the July 23–29 air and lodging update. Its charts and narrative use several different date ranges. The underlying lodging panel and full air-booking methodology are not supplied, so this is a record of the reported snapshot, not an independently reproduced market study.
Destination total occupancy for the next two weeks was reported at 57%, approximately flat year over year. The daily forecast graphic spans July 23–August 6,2026 against 2025.
For the broader summer window, total occupancy was 39%, pacing 2% behind 2025, while paid occupancy was flat. July was pacing 1% behind, August 12% behind, and September and October each 7% ahead. The monthly chart includes partial May 21–31 and October 1–25 windows; its rounded bars should not be mistaken for the same period as the daily forecast.
The report attributed some monthly variation to Film Festival and Labor Day falling within September. The official 2026 festival dates were September 4–7. That calendar fact does not establish the amount of displaced demand or prove that stronger fall forecasts offset every summer decline.
Overall summer air bookings were reported flat year over year. June had finished even with 2025, July was pacing 10% lower, August 8% lower and September 3% higher. The narrative associated some week-to-week variation with regional fires, without isolating their contribution.
Winter planning was still underway. The update anticipated broadly consistent core services, a break in Breeze's Orange County service and possible capacity changes. It also announced seasonal Los Angeles, Houston and Chicago service through Blues and Brews. These are retained as late-July 2026 planning statements, not current operating instructions.
The summer air chart combines MTJ and TEX and distinguishes 2024,2025,2026 and an “End 2025” series. The attached daily passenger chart covers July 2–August 1, which differs from the title week and the lodging forecast window. Exact passenger totals are not reconstructed from unlabeled curve points.
Use the Telluride Tourism Board Peak Sheet for current visitor information and confirm a flight with the operating carrier. The airport codes refer to Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) and Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ). Regional passenger totals are not counts of unique visitors or homebuyers.
