This is an archive of the 2023 Telluride Balloon Festival notice. The flight and Balloon Glow plans were weather-dependent for that edition. For current community-event information, use Visit Telluride.
The original Telluride Tourism Board notice described hot-air-balloon flights from Telluride Town Park on Saturday and Sunday mornings, weather permitting. Gathering was to begin at 6 a.m.; refreshments were planned for sale at the Town Park basketball court.
It also announced a Saturday-night Balloon Glow on Main Street from 6–10 p.m. The article’s descriptions of balloons lifting over the Telluride Valley and the Main Street glow are preserved as event plans, not proof that weather or operations allowed them to occur.
Check the current organizer or Visit Telluride for a later festival’s dates, launch locations, road arrangements, and weather decisions.
