LODGING UPDATE
Average total occupancy (paid & owner) is currently at 60% over the next two weeks, 6% lower than the same period in 2024. The weekends are pacing behind last year, while the weekdays are more aligned with 2024 metrics.
The remaining summer season is now trending similar to 2024, with total occupancy flat and a 1% increase in paid occupancy from July 15 – October 19. July occupancy is pacing 7% lower than 2024, August is tracking 2% ahead, September is flat, and October is pacing 13% ahead YOY.
The summer destination marketing campaign launched in early May, with Telluride.com as the call to action. Please ensure that your business listings are up to date. Thanks to our lodging partners who are offering specials and packages to drive summer bookings.
AIR UPDATE
Air bookings have continued to vary week-to-week, while overall numbers are holding. Summer is pacing even to down 2%, with July, August, and September all flat to just down, and October just up. Winter flights are live, with the route map largely similar to last season, noting additional changes may come over the next couple months. Breeze will be back with SNA-MTJ flights, and United is adding capacity to the LAX-MTJ service, so gear up your southern California outreach!
