Looking ahead, the winter season continues to look strong, although some traction was lost since last week’s report. Total occupancy is currently pacing 15% ahead YOY, paid occupancy is 7% higher and ADR 4% lower. All months are pacing ahead of last year, with the most growth in January and March.
Stay tuned for weekly Peak Sheet lodging updates, as these metrics can shift quickly as the winter season approaches.

AIR UPDATE

Consistent week-to-week bookings now have air traffic in September even to just ahead, and October now flat. Overall summer pace is up 10-12% with solid capacity and traffic gains in the shoulders. Increased local traffic on added Denver capacity likely puts tourism numbers just below the above. The Denver Air Shoulder Sale is now with fares from $129 to DEN and PHX at www.denverairconnection.com. Merchant Pass information will be available in the coming days.

As Telluride navigates the ebb and flow of seasonal travel, both lodging and air traffic are showing signs of strength, with the winter season poised for growth.
