Original weekly roundup
The original bulletin described the inaugural Food + Vine Festival’s grand tasting on Friday, June 2; Rose and Croquet and the Balloon Glow Cocktail Party on Saturday, June 3; and brunch on Sunday, June 4. The Balloon Festival announcement described weather-permitting morning launches on June 3 and 4 and Main Street Glow on June 3. It called Jeff Plankenhorn’s June 2 Music on the Green performance and that day’s farmers’ market the season openers. It also announced the first scheduled Art Walk of the year without an absolute date in the newsletter text. The Huck Finn & Becky Thatcher Day fishing derby was for children ten and under, with hot dogs, hamburgers and prizes. These are preserved as elements of the June 2023 announcement, not current event availability.
