Telluride Peak Sheet: Things to Do July 30–August 5, 2026

WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS WEEK  

Another week, another series of rainbows and great events happening around Telluride and Mountain Village! It feels like peak summertime right now and we are loving every second of it. 

It's a big week for foodies, with the Telluride Reserve taking over town Thursday through Sunday, with special food and wine events like a Tour de l'Alpe Lunch at Bon Vivant, the Grand Tasting, culinary skill classes, and so much more. Tickets are still available to purchase individually, or you can purchase a Grand Finale package - both available on the Telluride Reserve website here.

Additionally, local favorite Top Chef and Taste of Telluride take over the Telluride Science and Innovation Center on Saturday (benefitting One to One Mentoring). You can also take advantage of a free wine tasting on Wednesday at the Mountain Village Wine Merchant, Weird Wine Wednesday at The National, Wine and Wickets at Alloy Kitchen on Wednesday, or a free tasting on Thursday at the Telluride Wine Merchant. If beer is more your thing, be sure to check out the Mountain Lodge's Bike and Brewery Tour on Monday (and every Monday this summer). 

Music lovers will also have their pick of events this week, starting with Live at the Drive on Thursday with Big Something (unplugged) at KOTO, The Gold Kings at the Sheridan Historic Bar tomorrow as well, plus Music on the Green with the South Austin Moonlighters on Friday, the New York Philharmonic Brass Quintet on Friday at the Sheridan Opera House (plus a free show with them at Oak Street Plaza earlier that day) and the Augment Summer Music Series with Joint Point on Tuesday in Elks Park. On Wednesday, be sure to catch Big Love Car Wash at the SHOW Bar, the Sunset Concert Series with Mighty Mystic, and Sweet Sounds with the Speakeasy Jazz Trio at the Wilkinson Public Library. Other recurring events include live music at Alloy Kitchen all week long, and a stacked lineup at The Alibi. 

Make sure you have your cowboy boots ready for this weekend - The San Miguel Basin Fair and Rodeo is taking over the fairgrounds in Norwood on Friday and Saturday! Tickets are still available here. Other entertainment this week includes "Summer Spectacular: The Jungle Book" on Friday at the Sheridan Opera House, Mind Blown on Saturday at The Peaks Resort & Spa, "The Casual Enormity of Adam Palmer" Film Screening and Panel discussion on Saturday at the Sheridan Opera House, a showing of "Wicked for Good" for Movies Under the Stars on Saturday in Conference Center Plaza, and historic walking tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Plus, don't miss Mountain Village's National Night Out on Tuesday at the Village Court Apartments, the Telluride Farmers' Market on Friday or Market on the Plaza in Mountain Village on Wednesday.
