The original September 9 article listed Deep Creek Trail for September 17 at 5:15 p.m. The club’s September 17, 2026 update says weather led to cancellations and lists the rescheduled Deep Creek work day for Tuesday, September 22 at 5:30 p.m. Both September dates have now passed. That update also lists October 11 at 9 a.m. for Cross Mountain.
The organizer asks volunteers to bring water, a snack, closed-toed shoes, sunglasses, a long-sleeved shirt and pants. The official schedule includes an RSVP link. Check the organizer’s directions for the meeting point, equipment, weather changes and the work appropriate for you.
Tasks may include clearing debris, improving drainage and general maintenance, depending on conditions and the project leaders’ instructions. These days bring residents and visitors together to help care for the trail system and learn about the work that supports recreational access.
