Archived service notice, spring 2024. This page records a 2024 gondola-maintenance notice. The closure dates and transportation suggestions below are historical and do not describe current service, route, or accessibility conditions.
The original notice stated that the Telluride Gondola would be closed from April 8 through May 22, 2024, beginning at midnight on April 7 and concluding on May 23. It characterized the work as routine maintenance.
“As dedicated advocates for Telluride homeownership, we understand the significance of accessibility in this vibrant community,” said Anne-Britt Ostlund. “While the gondola closure may require some adjustments, it’s a testament to Telluride’s commitment to safety and infrastructure maintenance.”
This statement belongs to the original spring 2024 article. A current visit needs current operating information.
The notice referred generally to shuttle services and private-car rentals during the closure. It did not identify a current transportation plan, schedule, fare, or provider. Anyone planning a trip, appointment, showing, or commute should check current service alerts and transportation options directly rather than relying on this archived notice.
