This October 13, 2023 update attributed to the Telluride Tourism Board looked through October 21 and ahead to winter 2023–24. It preserves the destination, town and Mountain Village comparisons as separate measures.
Total destination occupancy, including paid and owner stays, was reported at 30% through October 21, 9% above the prior-year comparison. ADR was $283, down 22%. Within that destination total, Mountain Village occupancy was 33% higher and Telluride town occupancy 5% lower than the corresponding 2022 period. Those submarket directions should not be attributed to the entire destination.
The update expected the strongest growth during the approaching weekend and associated a smaller final-week increase with the gondola-season extension. That explanation is historical; the article does not establish a current gondola timetable or isolate the extension's effect.
Destination total occupancy was pacing 18% ahead at 31%. December was reported 3% ahead and March 30% ahead. The original report suggested the timing of Easter and Semana Santa as a reason for the March increase. It was an explanation offered at the time, not proof that the calendar caused the full change.
Winter Telluride town total occupancy was pacing 1% ahead and Mountain Village 28% ahead. The original rounded monthly chart compares winter 2023–24 with 2022–23: December 24%/23%, January 34%/28%, February 40%/32% and March 32%/24%. Rounded labels do not reproduce every percentage change stated in the narrative; the unrounded inputs are not supplied.
The air section described softer early-October traffic and improvement later in the month, while forecasting the overall summer season to finish 8–10% ahead. Neither establishes final winter results.
The 2023 Denver Air Connection sale advertised $139 fares from TEX to Phoenix and Denver for travel through December 13, 2023. The winter network announcement described capacity approximately even with the previous season, with 13 nonstop services from 11 major hubs on five carriers. That was a regional network statement, not evidence that all 13 services operated from TEX.
